Microfinance Bank Recruits Manager – Deposit Mobilization

A Strong Microfinance Bank in Lagos with a vision to the choice Microfinance Bank in Nigeria is currently strengthening its Management with the aim of maintaining Best Practice whilst also responding to the growing Business needs to support internal and external Customer Service delivery objectives and increase shareholder value. To this end, the following challenging positions have arisen and candidates with the requisite competencies and qualifications described below are hereby encouraged to apply

The Position

Reporting to the Lead Consultant, the job holder will be responsible for deposit mobilization in the bank

Key Responsibilities

Provide independent appraisal function within the Financial Institution which reviews accounting, financial and service operations as a service to management and reports to the Board of Directors. This position will also develop Risk Policies & Procedures for the bank.

Key Responsibilities

The major responsibilities of this position will be:

Grow the bank’s portfolio and revenue through deposit mobilization
Drive performance of the micro finance by cross selling other bank products
Review and implement deposit mobilization strategies for the bank
Undertake regular market visits to recruit clients for deposits, determine potential cross sells, obtain feedback and recommend new products
Develop, Market and implement deposit activities to ensure product information is readily available to customer feedback through direct surveys and mail shots

Qualifications/Experience

University degree preferably in a business related field
At least 6 years experience in a Bank’s Marketing or customer service department. Marketing experience in Microfinance bank will be an added advantage
Must have been involved closely in development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies in a Bank or micro finance
Professional qualifications (Chartered Institute of Marketing of Nigeria) or MBA is an added advantage

Skills and Attributes

Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish new client relationships and generate new business
Excellent planning, organization and problem solving
Possess strong leadership skills
Have the passion and commitment to deliver quality service
Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
Good knowledge of Lagos City
